POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsible for performing a variety of assembly operations to assemble quality units involving a number of parts and details.
1st shift: Monday through Friday, 5:45am - 2:15pm
2nd shift: Monday through Thursday, 2:00pm - 12:30am
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Functions:
· Assemble mechanical and/or electrical components per specifications
· Read and comprehend manufacturing instructions, assembly standards, and work instructions
· Read BOM and Work orders
· Identify and properly use small assembly hand tools
· Ability to use small power tools like drills, Greenlee punches, electric rivet-nut tools, etc.
· Part Identification and location
· Identify non-conforming parts during assembly process
· Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor
· Serve as trainers to other assemblers
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Education:
· High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Skills
· Ability to perform simple shop math
· Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and electrical schematics
· Understanding of World Class manufacturing principles is desirable
· Important to work as a team player within the work cell and advise the supervisor of any problems with assembly, quality or safety
Pay: $20.50 - $24.00 per hour
