We are seeking a highly skilled and certified High-Rise Building Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the operation, maintenance, and repair of high-rise buildings, specifically high-rise condominiums. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our property, with a focus on safety, sustainability, and tenant satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operation and maintenance of high-rise building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and fire safety.
- Manage and implement the association's preventive maintenance plan, ensuring all systems and equipment are regularly inspected and serviced to prevent issues before they arise.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all systems function efficiently.
- Troubleshoot and repair building systems and equipment to minimize downtime.
- Work closely with property management and vendors to coordinate repairs and maintenance schedules.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal building codes and regulations.
- Monitor energy usage and recommend efficiency improvements.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Respond promptly to emergency situations and tenant service requests.
Requirements:
- Certification & Licenses: Must hold relevant certifications in building engineering (e.g., HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, EPA, or similar).
- Experience: Minimum 5+ years of experience in high-rise building engineering, with a strong preference for candidates who have worked with high-rise condominiums.
- Preventive Maintenance Expertise: Proven ability to develop, manage, and execute a preventive maintenance program for a high-rise building.
- Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of building automation systems, energy management, and general building maintenance.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact professionally with tenants and management.
- Availability: Ability to be on call for emergencies and work flexible hours as needed.
