American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for an Operating Room position at a Magnet-designated, Level II Trauma hospital in Alaska, requiring 2 years of OR experience and an active AK RN license.

Work setting is a 407-bed acute care hospital that is a Magnet Facility, Level II Trauma Center, and USNWR Best Hospital in Alaska

13-week contract

Schedule is 3x12-hour day shifts; shift start times vary between 6:45 AM–7:15 PM or 9:00 AM–9:30 PM

Weekends required

On-call is limited to coverage for call-offs only

Floating to like units may be required to meet facility needs

Charting via Epic (required)

Scrubs are provided by the facility

Free parking on-site

Active Alaska (AK) RN license required; pending license accepted for consideration but must be in hand for offer

Certifications required: BLS; ACLS and CNOR are preferred

Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required

Epic EMR experience required

Minimum of 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty or setting

Full SSN and DOB required for consideration

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates are not accepted

Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must also meet the 50-mile radius requirement

All travelers may be expected to float between facilities within Alaska; refusal to float may result in termination of assignment

RTO is approved on an individual basis and must be disclosed upfront; minimal RTO is strongly preferred for this position
