Responsibilities
- Wash dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment promptly to maintain a steady flow of clean items for service
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling ingredients, or portioning to support culinary staff
- Support banquet and catering events by preparing serving stations and ensuring timely setup and breakdown
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen areas by sweeping, mopping, wiping surfaces, and disposing of waste properly
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures and sanitation standards
- Restock supplies and organize storage areas to ensure efficiency during busy service times
- Collaborate with team members to uphold high standards of hospitality and ensure a smooth operation
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, hotel, or catering environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key!
- Familiarity with basic kitchen tasks such as bussing tables or assisting in food prep is a plus
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical tasks including lifting moderate loads
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safety standards in a culinary setting
- Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude and good communication abilities
- Basic understanding of food handling practices and sanitation regulations
- Prior banquet or catering experience is advantageous but not mandatory; training will be provided for motivated candidates
