We’re seeking a talented and motivated Assistant Community Manager to support the Community Manager in overseeing the daily operations of one of our premier multifamily communities. This role is key in ensuring operational efficiency, financial success, and resident satisfaction — all while upholding the standards and values that define RYSE.

What You’ll Do
Assist the Community Manager with daily operations to ensure resident satisfaction and retention.
Manage rent collection, payment posting, and deposits while maintaining accurate financial records.
Support leasing, renewals, and marketing efforts to achieve occupancy goals.
Communicate promptly and professionally with residents to resolve concerns.
Process move-ins, move-outs, and renewals while maintaining accurate records.
Prepare and review reports to ensure financial and operational accuracy.
Inspect the property regularly to maintain curb appeal, cleanliness, and safety.
Manage delinquent accounts, process evictions, and attend court as needed.
Train and mentor new associates on leasing, marketing, and office procedures.
Serve as acting Community Manager when needed to ensure seamless operations.
Maintain compliance with company policies, Fair Housing, and applicable regulations.
What You Bring
High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years of property management experience required.
Knowledge of Fair Housing, leasing, renewals, and collections processes preferred.
Experience with OneSite or equivalent property management software strongly preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.
Problem-solving and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Operational & Financial Support:
Assist the Community Manager in all aspects of property operations, including leasing, rent collection, budget preparation, and expense tracking. Maintain accurate records of accounts receivable and payable, process payments, and make timely bank deposits. Monitor and manage delinquent accounts, issue late notices, and coordinate eviction procedures when necessary.
- Resident Relations & Retention:
Promote high levels of resident satisfaction through timely communication, problem resolution, and customer service excellence. Support community events, initiatives, and engagement efforts to foster a welcoming and inclusive environment.
Support leasing activities as needed, including tours, application processing, renewals, and move-in/move-out procedures. Assist in implementing marketing strategies to achieve occupancy goals and maintain competitive awareness of the local market.
Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly operational reports accurately and on time. Audit resident and lease files to ensure compliance with company policies, Fair Housing, and all regulatory standards.
- Property Maintenance & Inspections:
Conduct regular property walks to identify maintenance and safety concerns. Coordinate service requests with the maintenance team and follow up to ensure timely completion and resident satisfaction.
- Leadership & Team Collaboration:
Provide support, guidance, and coverage in the absence of the Community Manager/Area Manager. Assist in onboarding and training new team members on leasing, operations, and compliance procedures.
- Administrative Responsibilities:
Compose and prepare correspondence, notices, and essential resident communications. Maintain organized records, office supplies, and operational documentation to support daily workflow.
- Other Duties as Assigned:
Participate in company-wide initiatives, projects, and training programs as directed by management.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This position operates in a professional office environment within a multifamily property setting. Regular use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets is expected. The role may require occasional lifting up to 25 pounds and frequent walking of the property grounds.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree in business, management, or related field preferred.
- Knowledge in Fair Housing Laws and Compliance
- Minimum two (2) years of experience in multifamily property management, leasing, or related operations.
- Proficiency in property management software such as OneSite, RealPage, or Yardi, & Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
