Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Family Law Paralegal to join our legal team. Responsibilities
- Assist attorneys with case preparation for family law matters, including divorce, custody, and support issues.
- Conduct legal research using tools such as LexisNexis and Westlaw to gather relevant information for cases.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and correspondence related to family law cases.
- Manage case files and ensure proper documentation through effective document management systems.
- Perform document review and proofreading to ensure accuracy and compliance with legal standards.
- Maintain organized records of client interactions, case progress, and deadlines through effective data entry practices.
- Provide executive administrative support by managing schedules, filing documents, and handling phone communications with clients.
- Collaborate with attorneys on litigation strategies and assist in trial preparation as needed.
- Conduct client interviews to gather necessary information for case development.
Skills
- Strong paralegal experience with familiarity in legal administrative tasks including clerical experience and transcription.
- Excellent writing skills for drafting legal documents and correspondence.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with legal case management softwares such.
- Ability to conduct thorough research using various legal resources effectively.
- Strong phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for client interactions.
- Familiarity with project management principles to assist in managing case timelines efficiently. Pay: $35.00 - $75.00 per hour
