Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Registered Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our dental office. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during various procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation using software such as Open Dental or Dentrix.
- Manage infection control protocols to ensure a safe environment for both patients and staff.
- Provide patient education regarding oral hygiene, post-operative care, and treatment plans.
- Schedule appointments and manage patient flow efficiently while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.
- Handle administrative tasks such as updating medical records, processing insurance claims, and managing medical documentation.
- Operate 3D scanners and assist with medical imaging when required.
- Hygiene assisting or eager to learn.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental assisting is mandatory.
- Familiarity with dental software systems such as Open Dental or Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of infection control practices and procedures is essential.
- Experience with medical records management and documentation is beneficial.
- Proficiency in using 3D scanners or other imaging technology is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
- Back office teamwork and leadership skills are highly desirable.

Pay: $24.00 - $34.00 per hour
