Role Description
Artemis Consulting Collective is seeking an Environmental Scientist to support a diverse portfolio of environmental consulting projects throughout Florida. This position offers the opportunity to work on infrastructure, transportation, water resource, ecosystem restoration, and environmental permitting projects for public sector clients.
The ideal candidate is a motivated environmental professional who enjoys a balance of fieldwork and technical desktop analysis. This role may be structured as either part-time or full-time. Our office is located in Safety Harbor, Florida. Travel to project sites throughout the state may also be required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, Environmental Engineering, Natural Resources, Geography, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2–5 years of relevant environmental consulting or applied environmental experience.
- Experience conducting field investigations, including wetland delineations, habitat assessments, ecological surveys, or related environmental studies.
- Familiarity with Florida environmental regulations and permitting processes.
- Working knowledge of federal environmental regulations, including NEPA and protected species compliance.
- Experience preparing technical reports and environmental documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and basic GIS applications.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and work both independently and collaboratively.
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel for field assignments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with environmental consulting in Florida.
- Proficiency in ArcGIS Pro or similar geospatial software.
- Experience with GPS data collection and field mapping technologies.
- Experience performing wetland delineation, preparing wetland permit applications, and mitigation documentation.
- Experience performing listed species surveys and/or permitting.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work outdoors in Florida's environmental conditions, including heat, humidity, uneven terrain, wetlands, and remote locations.
- Ability to walk long distances, navigate natural areas, and carry field equipment.
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Pay: $32.00 - $39.00 per hour
