Overview
We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Pack and Loading Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for efficiently packing products, operating packaging machinery, and loading finished goods onto pallets for shipment. This position is essential in ensuring our products meet quality standards and are delivered on time. The ideal candidate is proactive, safety-conscious, and comfortable working with industrial equipment in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate packaging machines and equipment to package products accurately and efficiently.
- Use material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts to move finished goods within the warehouse.
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical issues with packaging machinery to minimize downtime.
- Follow safety protocols and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times during operations.
- Ensure products are packed according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and safety standards in production.
- Load packaged items onto pallets carefully, ensuring proper stacking and stability for shipment.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing area, adhering to safety and GMP guidelines.
Experience
- Prior experience material handling equipment is preferred.
- Familiarity with packaging machines and industrial equipment troubleshooting is a plus.
- Experience working in food production or manufacturing environments helps ensure understanding of safety standards like GMP and CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practices).
- Basic math skills are necessary for measuring, counting, and verifying quantities during packing processes.
- Knowledge of safety standards in production environments ensures compliance with safety protocol adherence at all times.
- Warehouse experience involving material handling, machine operation, or machining is beneficial but not required; training will be provided.
