Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor Manager to join our fast-paced repair shop team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. You will coordinate between customers and our skilled technicians to deliver top-quality service, promote additional repairs or maintenance, and foster long-term customer relationships. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, listen carefully to their vehicle concerns, and accurately record their service requests.
- Explain recommended repairs and maintenance options clearly, providing detailed auto estimates and cost breakdowns.
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission work, suspension, alignment, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, air brake systems, and auto body repairs.
- Upsell additional services or parts by highlighting benefits that meet customer needs while maintaining transparency and integrity.
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during transactions and process payments efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service writing documentation for each vehicle’s repair history and communicate effectively with customers about their vehicle’s status.
- Build strong customer relationships through excellent service and follow-up, encouraging repeat business and positive reviews.
Skills
- Proven experience with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, and repair processes.
- Strong background in auto service management, including auto estimating and service writing.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients of all backgrounds.
- Demonstrated ability to upsell services ethically while maintaining customer trust.
- Mechanical knowledge across various systems such as transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, tire services, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, and alignments.
- Experience working with automotive repair tools and diagnostic equipment; mechanic or service technician experience is highly valued.
- Familiarity with automotive sales processes and vehicle maintenance programs.
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
