We're looking for a Business Development & Partnerships Manager who wants to help build something meaningful while creating opportunities for innovators across the country.
This isn't a high-pressure sales role. It's a consultative business development position focused on building trusted relationships, developing strategic referral partnerships, identifying qualified opportunities, and guiding prospective clients through their first interaction with IdeaParlor Law.
You'll work directly with Anthony Whittington, JD/MBA, founder of IdeaParlor Law, helping expand an innovative brand serving founders, inventors, startups, athletes, creators, and growing businesses.

What You'll DoBusiness Development
- Identify founders, inventors, startups, athletes, creators, and businesses with current needs.
- Research organizations experiencing growth events such as funding, hiring, product launches, commercialization, or expansion.
- Build meaningful relationships with prospective clients.
- Conduct qualification conversations.
- Follow up with prospective clients professionally and consistently.
- Guide qualified prospects through the intake process.
Strategic Partnership Development
Develop long-term relationships with professionals and organizations that regularly serve growing businesses, including:
- CPAs
- Business Coaches
- Fractional CFOs
- Marketing Agencies
- Startup Advisors

Client Experience & Intake
Help prospective clients:
- Schedule consultations

Pipeline Management
Maintain an organized business development pipeline using Clio Grow and CRM tools by tracking:
- Referral partners
- Qualification calls
- Intake submissions
- Quote opportunities
- Client status
- Follow-up activities
- Partnership development
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Success is measured by creating qualified opportunities.
Monthly objectives include:
- Establish meaningful relationships with 20–30 prospective referral partners
- Conduct 8–12 referral conversations
- Complete 6–10 qualification calls
- Generate 4–6 completed intake submissions
- Produce 3–5 quote opportunities
- Contribute to 1–3 retained client engagements through your outreach
What Success Looks Like After Your First 90 Days
By the end of your first 90 days, you'll be expected to:
- Build a strong referral pipeline.
- Develop meaningful relationships with referral partners.
- Conduct qualification conversations independently.
- Become proficient with Clio Grow and our client intake process.
- Generate opportunities that lead to consultations and new client engagements.
- Operate with minimal supervision while contributing ideas that improve business development and client experience.

Compensation
