We are seeking a compassionate and dependable CMT to provide personalized care and support for up to five residents in a small, home-style assisted living facility. As a key member of our team, the caregiver will help residents with daily living activities, promote independence and dignity, and contribute to a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping others and enjoy working in a close-knit, community-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Resident Care:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (including bathing, dressing, and medication reminders).
- Monitor residents’ health and report any changes or concerns to the House Manager or healthcare provider.
- Take vital signs, such as blood pressure, heart rate and pulse.
- Administer medicine
- Assist families and visitors as needed.
- Provide daily reports to designated staff at the end of shift.
- Accompany residents to scheduled outings.
- Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to residents.
Household Duties:
- Assist with light housekeeping, including laundry, tidying resident rooms, and common areas.
- Help with meal preparation and serve meals/snacks according to dietary needs.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and home-like environment.
Communication/Documentation/Administrative Duties:
- Record care provided and observations in resident logs.
- Communicate effectively with residents, family members, and other staff.
- Follow all policies and procedures regarding resident safety, privacy, and dignity.
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of all resident information.
Requirements and qualifications:
- Experience in caregiving, assisted living, or home care.
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's (including agitation, sun downing and memory loss)
- Experience with ambulatory and non ambulatory residents
- Able to safely lift and reposition residents (safety transfer training preferred)
- Compassionate, patient, and respectful demeanor.
- High school diploma
- Valid driver’s license (preferred)
- Med Tech, CPR, and First Aid certification
- Ability to pass background check and health screening.
- Must be reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Ability to maintain a clean and sanitary environment
- Ability to greet visitors in a pleasant manner/maintain an orderly environment
Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive daily pay
- Saturday 6 a.m. to Sunday 6 p.m. every weekend out of the month (must remain on premises overnight)
