Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and ensuring all dishes meet quality standards
- Maintain cleanliness throughout the kitchen by regularly cleaning surfaces, utensils, and equipment to uphold food safety standards
- Support bussing duties by clearing tables promptly and resetting dining areas efficiently
- Handle manual tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and equipment using safe lifting practices to ensure safety for yourself and colleagues
- Serve food and beverages to guests accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery and guest satisfaction
- Operate POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing and payment handling with accuracy
- Provide in-person customer service by addressing guest inquiries politely and professionally, enhancing their overall experience
Requirements
- Previous food service or restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are essential
- Knowledge of food handling procedures and food safety regulations to ensure hygiene standards are met
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting while following safe lifting practices
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with team members and interact with guests
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus but training will be provided
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Commitment to hospitality principles, guest services, and teamwork to foster a positive dining atmosphere
