Responsibilities
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, including gathering medical histories and documenting symptoms accurately.
- Measure vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and temperature to monitor patient health status.
- Prepare patients for examinations or procedures by explaining processes and ensuring comfort.
- Perform clinical tasks including phlebotomy (blood draws), medication administration.
- Manage electronic health records (EHR/EHR systems), ensuring accurate documentation of patient information, diagnoses (ICD coding), and treatment plans.
- Support medical office management by scheduling appointments and handling administrative support duties efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment while adhering to safety protocols in outpatient setting.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Medical Assistant
- Knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and ICD coding standards.
- Hands-on experience with EMR/EHR systems and electronic health records management.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) or Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately across diverse populations including geriatrics and internal medicine patients.
- Ability to perform clinical procedures such as phlebotomy, medication administration, and vital signs collection accurately.
- Outpatient clinic background demonstrating adaptability in fast-paced healthcare settings is essential.
