Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Mexican Bread Baker/Bakery to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing authentic Mexican baked goods, including traditional breads, pastries, and confections, ensuring high-quality standards and consistency. Responsibilities
- Prepare a variety of traditional Mexican breads such as conchas, bolillos, and pan dulce with precision and consistency
- Follow established recipes and baking procedures to ensure product quality
- Operate bakery equipment including mixers, ovens, proofers, and slicing machines safely and efficiently
- Decorate cakes and pastries with attention to detail using various cake decorating techniques
- Package baked goods attractively for retail display or catering orders
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with food safety standards
- Assist in food preparation tasks related to pastry preparation and other baked items
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; report shortages promptly
- Ensure adherence to food handling regulations and safety protocols at all times
Experience
- Proven experience in baking or pastry preparation within a bakery, restaurant, or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of Mexican baking traditions and techniques
- Experience with high-volume production is preferred
- Skilled in using kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, knives, and decorating tools
- Familiarity with food safety management practices and proper sanitation procedures
- Ability to perform basic math for measurements and recipe adjustments
- Customer service experience is a plus for retail or catering roles
- Previous work in food production or the food industry demonstrating reliability and craftsmanship
