We are seeking a Kids Ministry Leader to provide spiritual care, leadership, and support for kids and families in grades K-5. This role creates and provides a safe, welcoming, and nurturing environment where kids can experience God’s love and grow in faith, and families can feel supported and connected. The ministry leader builds trusted relationships with kids, parents, caregivers, and volunteers, coordinating schedules and team supports, and offering guidance to families as they take next steps in their faith journey. This role is vital to the church’s mission to Share Christ, Serve Others and Grow in Faith.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build meaningful relationships with children, families, church members, and the local community through welcoming, outreach, and ongoing engagement.
- Provide age-appropriate spiritual leadership by teaching biblical truths, leading prayer and worship experiences, and supporting families in nurturing faith at home.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead children's ministry programs for Sundays, Wednesdays, Tween events, retreats, and special ministry activities.
- Recruit, train, equip, and encourage volunteers to create a safe, engaging, and Christ-centered environment for children.
- Manage ministry administration, including new family registration, attendance tracking, guest follow-up, communication, and recordkeeping.
- Lead the planning and execution of Vacation Bible School (VBS) and assist with major church-wide events such as Easter Celebration, Trunk or Treat, Rock the Block, and Promotion Sunday.
- Collaborate with church staff and ministry leaders to ensure effective communication, facility coordination, and the continued growth of the children's ministry.
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
