The Assistant Executive Director partners closely with the Executive Director and Department Directors to support all aspects of community operations and reports directly to the Executive Director.
Position Overview:
The Springs at Tanasbourne is seeking an Assistant Executive Director to join our leadership team alongside our Executive Director and Department Directors, someone who is committed to doing the "One Thing" the right thing. This is an exciting opportunity for a collaborative, relationship-focused leader who is passionate about developing people, fostering teamwork, and creating an exceptional experience for residents, families, and team members. Working in partnership with the Executive Director, the Assistant Executive Director serves as a connector across the community building trusted relationships, developing leaders, and fostering collaboration while supporting operational excellence. Key Responsibilities:

Supports the Executive Director and community in all efforts surrounding the daily, monthly and annual efforts to achieve quality outcomes and substantial compliance.

Build trusted relationships with residents, families, department leaders, and team members.

Foster collaboration across all departments to create a seamless and exceptional resident experience.

Coach, mentor, and support department leaders while encouraging professional growth and leadership development.

Promote employee engagement, accountability, teamwork, and a positive workplace culture.

Partner with the Executive Director to support the overall operation of the community.

Support resident and family satisfaction through proactive communication and effective service recovery.

Help coordinate community-wide initiatives, strategic priorities, and special projects.

Monitor operational priorities and ensure timely follow-through on key initiatives.

Support compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

Assist with budget management and operational performance.

Act on behalf of the Executive Director as needed.
Qualifications:
-
Bachelor’s degree, or Masters Degree is preferred
-
3-5 years of progreesive leadership experience in senior livng, healthcare, hospitality, or another service focused industry
-
Current Oregon ALF/RCF Administrator license, or the ability to obtain as required.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, residents, employees, and the general public.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manual.

AL & MC regulations knowledge.

Proficient PC skills including e-mail, record keeping, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form.

Ability to prioritize, organize, and delegate assignments.

Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, electronic, or schedule form.

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
