Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Floor Technician to maintain the cleanliness and appearance of our customer's commercial spaces. Duties
- Execute comprehensive cleaning routines, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and trash removal to maintain cleanliness standards.
- Perform specialized floor care tasks such as buffing, polishing, and stripping to preserve the quality and appearance of various flooring surfaces.
- Conduct carpet cleaning using appropriate equipment and techniques to remove stains and maintain a fresh look.
- Follow safety protocols during all cleaning activities to prevent accidents and ensure environmental compliance.
- Collaborate with team members to complete daily cleaning schedules efficiently and thoroughly.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to supervisors for quick resolution.
Skills
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial services, especially within commercial or environmental services environments.
- Strong knowledge of floor care techniques including buffing, stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning methods.
- Ability to operate cleaning machinery such as buffers, extractors, vacuums, and carpet cleaners safely and effectively.
- Excellent attention to detail with a focus on thoroughness and quality in all cleaning tasks.
- Good physical stamina for standing, bending, lifting, and moving equipment throughout shifts.
- Effective communication skills to coordinate with team members and report issues clearly.
- Knowledge of safety procedures related to cleaning chemicals and equipment use.
