Base Salary Up To $89,329 - Commensurate with experience (The salary indicated represents a base pay rate. If the candidate selected is eligible for a years-of-service pay differential, it will be added to the total compensation. A pay differential does not raise the base pay.)
Job Location: Division of Professional Registration, Missouri Dental Board/Board of Optometry/Office of Statewide Electrical Contractors, 3605 Missouri Boulevard, Jefferson City, Missouri 65109. This is an in-office position.

This position is an opportunity for an individual with knowledge of the state statutes and regulations governing the operation of the boards; knowledge of the principles, practices, and terminology of the licensed and regulated professions. The successful candidate must have the ability to communicate effectively; lead and manage a team; ability to develop, explain and apply statutes, regulations; knowledge of the legislative process; and the ability to gather and summarize work product data.
Responsibilities - What you’ll do
- Serve as the executive director for the boards;
- Direct the operations of the office and implement the boards’ decisions, policies and procedures;
- Develop agendas and attend boards’ meetings;
- Schedule hearings before the boards;
- Oversee boards’ investigations and licensing;
- Assist the boards’ legal counsel with cases;
- Assist and advise the boards in developing regulations;
- Establish and maintain internal controls and processes;
- Represent the boards at meetings, testifying at legal proceedings, and presentations before the general assembly;
- Prepare financial statements of revenues, expenditures, and projections;
- Serve as custodian of records for the boards.

What we are looking for:
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field, from an accredited college or university (Qualifying experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge and abilities are acquired may be considered in lieu of education).
- Ability to travel (estimated up to 10% annually) – including day, overnight, and some out-of-state travel.
- Knowledge of computer applications such as Adobe Acrobat Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel.
