Welder / Fitter – Multiple Openings | 1st & 2nd Shift
Pay: $22–$26/hr (based on experience)
Shift Options:
- 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday
- 2nd Shift: 4:15 PM – 2:45 AM, Monday–Friday
We are a growing metal fabrication and manufacturing facility that is hiring multiple Welders/Fitters for both 1st and 2nd shift. This position is ideal for candidates with welding and fabrication experience who are comfortable working from blueprints and assembling metal components to precise specifications.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions
- Measure, position, align, and fit metal components for assembly
- Perform tack welding and final welding using MIG, TIG, and other welding processes as required
- Verify dimensions and ensure assemblies meet quality standards
- Use fabrication equipment including grinders, torches, and measuring tools
- Troubleshoot fit-up and assembly issues as needed
- Safely operate material handling equipment when required
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
- Follow all safety and quality procedures
Qualifications
- Previous welding and fitting experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment
- Ability to understand blueprints and fabrication drawings
- Strong measuring and shop math skills
- Knowledge of welding equipment, materials, and welding techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and quality
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working in a fabrication and manufacturing environment
