Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical history and oral health evaluations.
- Perform dental cleanings and preventative care procedures to maintain optimal oral hygiene.
- Educate patients on proper oral care techniques and the importance of regular dental visits.
- Utilize medical imaging technologies to assist in diagnosing dental conditions.
- Collaborate with dentists and other team members to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental office systems, including Dentrix.
- Stay updated on advancements in dental hygiene practices and participate in continuing education opportunities.
- Provide care for pediatric patients with an emphasis on creating a positive experience for children.
Requirements
- Valid state license to practice as a Dental Hygienist.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and medical terminology related to dentistry.
- Experience with general dentistry procedures is preferred; familiarity with pediatric dentistry is a plus.
- Proficiency in using dental office systems, particularly Dentrix, is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with patients of all ages.
- Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while demonstrating independence in clinical tasks.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
