Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for applying coatings to various industrial components, ensuring high-quality finishes, and maintaining safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of painting techniques, materials handling, and mechanical processes within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Candidates with experience in auto body repair, auto painting, or construction painting are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and masking as needed
- Apply paint, coatings, or finishes using airless paint spraying equipment, brushes, or rollers
- Operate power tools and hand tools safely and efficiently during surface preparation and finishing
- Use precision measuring instruments to ensure accurate application and coverage
- Handle materials safely using forklifts, cranes, or other warehouse equipment
- Maintain a clean work environment and adhere to safety protocols at all times
- Assist with materials handling and inventory management of paints and supplies
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure finishes meet specifications and standards
- Support lean manufacturing initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste
Experience
- Prior experience in industrial painting, auto body repair, or construction painting is preferred
- Knowledge of machining, fabrication, welding, and auto painting techniques is advantageous
- Familiarity with warehouse operations, materials handling equipment (forklift, crane), and assembly processes is beneficial
- Experience with airless paint spraying systems and power tools required
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments and basic math skills for accurate work measurements
- Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing or machining environments enhances performance in this role
- Previous exposure to lean manufacturing principles or auto body repair adds value to your application
