We are seeking a dedicated, skilled, and passionate PM Line Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for executing high-quality dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment during our dinner service. The ideal candidate works well under pressure, maintains a clean and organized station, and takes pride in culinary excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Station Setup & Breakdown: Prepare, stock, and set up the designated line station (Grill, Sauté, Pantry, etc.) for dinner service; ensure proper breakdown and cleaning at the end of the shift.
Food Preparation: Prepare menu items exactly according to established recipes, portion controls, and presentation standards.
Cooking Execution: Cook and present high-quality dishes efficiently during peak dinner hours, monitoring ticket times and communicating effectively with the expo and kitchen team.
Food Safety & Sanitation: Maintain a pristine station by adhering to all local health department guidelines, safe food handling protocols, and temperature controls.
Inventory Control: Minimize food waste through proper storage, rotation (FIFO), and efficient prep practices.
Qualifications & Skills
Experience: 1–2 years of experience as a line cook or prep cook in a high-volume or fine-dining restaurant environment.
Schedule Flexibility: Availability to work evening shifts (PM), including weekends and holidays as needed.
Technical Skills: Proficient knife skills and familiarity with standard commercial kitchen equipment (grills, fryers, sauté ranges).Physical Demands: Ability to stand for extended periods, move quickly, and lift up to 50 lbs in a hot kitchen environment.
Certifications: Valid California Food Handler card (or willingness to obtain one within 30 days of hire)
