Responsibilities
- Ensure patients feel as comfortable as possible
- Conduct initial screenings and update medical, dental history
- Educate patients on conditions like gingivitis, caries or periodontitis
- Provide prophylaxis for adults and children, SRP, and periodontal maintenance
- Provide adjunct services as needed such as: Arestin, SDF, Fluoride Varnish
- Educate patients of all ages on proper homecare
- Take digital X-rays and PAN
- Maintain documentation and charts on each patient (Open Dental - VERY intuitive practice management software)
- Skills
- Proven experience as Dental Hygienist or recent graduate
- Outstanding communication skills
- A patient and friendly personality
- Attention to detail
- Licensed to practice in Minnesota
