Grill Cook / Meat Cutter / Prep Cook
Mallett Brothers BBQ Team is looking for a dependable, hardworking individual to join our kitchen team. This position is ideal for someone who takes pride in preparing quality food, works well in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys being part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Grill steaks, burgers, chicken, and other menu items to order.
- Slice and portion smoked meats according to restaurant standards.
- Prepare ingredients for daily service, including vegetables, sauces, and side items.
- Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation.
- Follow recipes and portion guidelines.
- Safely operate kitchen and meat-cutting equipment.
- Monitor food temperatures and follow all food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Keep workstations clean, organized, and fully stocked throughout the shift.
- Assist with inventory, stock rotation, and receiving deliveries.
- Work with the kitchen team to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Help with general cleaning duties and assist other team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous grill, prep, or meat-cutting experience is preferred but not required. We are willing to train the right person.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Dependable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
- Team-oriented with a positive attitude.
