Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Sales Associate to join our retail team. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service to enhance shopping experience
- Conduct product demonstrations and upselling to maximize sales opportunities
- Operate POS systems efficiently for transactions including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Assist with merchandising, stocking shelves, and maintaining an organized store layout
- Manage inventory levels and assist with stock replenishment as needed
- Supervise and mentor junior staff members, providing guidance on sales techniques and customer interactions
- Maintain proper phone etiquette when assisting customers over the phone or via online inquiries
- Perform basic retail math for transactions, pricing, and inventory management
- Ensure compliance with store policies and procedures to uphold safety standards
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably in grocery or similar retail environments
- Supervising or leadership experience within a retail setting is highly desirable
- Familiarity with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Experience conducting product demos and up-selling techniques to increase sales
- Bilingual skills are advantageous for serving a diverse customer base
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and customer service excellence
- Ability to perform merchandising tasks such as stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Basic math skills related to retail transactions and inventory management
