Position Overview
Join a team of professionals where you will serve as a key representative of the company with the authority and responsibility to establish, implement, and maintain the effectiveness of Welfab’s quality systems. This role ensures compliance with all relevant standards, statutory requirements, and customer expectations.
You will oversee the development and execution of quality strategies, maintain quality KPIs, manage metrology and maintenance programs, and lead risk‑management initiatives. The position is also responsible for implementing effective inspection methodologies and developing the resources needed to meet internal and customer quality standards.
As a member of the Welfab leadership team, this role oversees the Quality staff and leads the Quality Management System (QMS) activities, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and Supplier Quality (SQR) programs.

- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in technical field preferred.
- 5 years of managerial/leadership experience in a manufacturing quality organization.
- Experience in Iso 9001 and/or As 9100 Aerospace Quality Management Systems, including developing, improving and maturing quality processes.
- Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, ERP software (ECI preferred).
- Working knowledge of 6 Sigma/Lean (Greenbelt preferred)
- Working knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and use of Root Cause Analysis tools such as 5 why, Fishbone, 8D etc.
- Proficient in reading blueprints and manufacturing drawings and interpretation, Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T).
- Demonstrated ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and organization skills; attentive to detail.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 25 lbs. or more and standing for extended periods of time.
