Responsibilities
- Lead classroom instruction for preschool-aged children, implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on literacy, math, social skills, and physical activity.
- Develop and adapt lesson plans that meet individual child needs while aligning with early childhood education standards.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management techniques to create a safe and supportive learning environment.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share progress, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Supervise and mentor assistant teachers and classroom aides to ensure high-quality instruction and effective classroom management.
- Incorporate special education strategies and early intervention practices to support children with diverse learning needs.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws, health and safety regulations, including first aid and CPR certifications, and maintain accurate documentation of student progress.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working with young children in preschool or daycare settings, including classroom management and child development instruction.
- Strong background in curriculum development, literacy education, math instruction, and physical education for early learners.
- Knowledge of special education principles, early intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with childhood development milestones, standardized testing procedures, and childhood welfare practices.
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with children, parents, colleagues, and community partners.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing professional development is encouraged.
- Prior experience teaching in private schools or daycare environments is preferred but not mandatory.
