Who is Zenix Aerospace Jet Products?
Zenix Aerospace Jet Products uses its own near net shape starting blanks with sizes ranging from 2″ to 180″ diameter. Applications include turbine engine parts, nacelle mounting and attach rings, and duct fittings. Produces complex machined rings and ring components in titanium, nickel, cobalt, stainless and aluminum alloys. Major markets for current production are airframe structural rings and assemblies, including the nacelle and thrust reverser, and a variety of rings and cases for turbine engines.
What Does the Job Involve?
As a Metal Adjuster you will, set up and operate hydraulic machine to bend metal to correct adjusted radius. Cut, roll, shape, bend, mold, spin, heat or hammer metal products to fabricate parts or sub-assemblies. Examine detailed drawings or specifications to find out job, material and equipment requirements in addition. Make adjustments to adhere to established specifications. Monitor work and part flow process. Plan and execute simple adjusting & part finishing assignments using machine tools ranging from hydraulic adjustment tables to band saws. Uses precision measuring tools to check accuracy of work.
What Will My Responsibilities Include?

Set-up, adjust and operate machine controls to position tools or regulate cutting depth, speed, feed or coolant flow to produce precision metal parts and materials as specified by work order, blueprints, drawing, templates or layout.

May determine specifications or procedures for tooling set-up, machine operation, work-piece dimensions or numerical control sequences using blueprints, instructions and machine knowledge.

Mounts, aligns and secures tooling, attachments and work-piece on machine chuck.

Start and stop automatic operation of numerical control machine parts or test setup, work-piece dimensions or programming.

May perform routine machine maintenance.

Ensure proper dimensions of finished material to ensure conformance to specifications.

May clean machine, tooling and parts and area surrounding machine in accordance with 5S procedures.

May adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machine malfunctions.

Monitor and maintain machines during use in order to diagnose machine malfunctions, need for adjustments or repairs. Such as need to adjust speeds, feeds and RPM's.

Demonstrate ability to appear for work on time, follow directions from a supervisor, interact well with co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures, comply with corporate policies, goals and objectives, accept constructive criticism and exhibit initiative and commitment.
What Key Skills Do I Need?

Ability to read blueprints, drawings or templates.

Knowledge of machines and tools.

Ability to control operations of equipment and watch gauges, dials or other indicators to make sure machine is working properly.

Ability to move, install, position and handle materials.
What Qualifications Should I Have?
Education:
-
High school diploma/GED preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience. Vocational training a plus.
Experience:
-
1+ year of experience with similar work experience in manufacturing.
