The Technical Services Representative profiles hazardous and non-hazardous waste and serves as the primary point of contact with disposal facilities, coordinating waste approvals, transportation logistics, and customer service. This role also supports Inside Sales, billing, and administrative functions for its assigned location(s), and reports to Technical Services management.
Essential Functions
- Ensure Health and Safety is the top priority by following all safety policies, processes, and practices.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for client inquiries and service coordination, ensuring timely, professional communication with customers and internal teams.
- Manage customer needs for hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal, transportation, and environmental field services.
- Provide inside sales and technical support for waste disposal, transportation, and environmental field services as needed for assigned location(s).
- Support Industrial Sales Representatives in selling to customers, including assistance with proposal development, presentations, and sales materials.
- Prepare quotes for transportation and disposal services.
- Manage the logistics for the transportation of hazardous and non-hazardous waste shipments.
- Coordinate service scheduling based on customer needs and operational capacity, communicating updates between field teams, operations, and clients.
- Review, enter, and manage work orders within ERP (NetSuite) and EOS systems (Waste LINQ), ensuring all necessary details are recorded and communicated to Operations and Finance for accurate service completion and billing.
- Maintain accurate client, pricing, and job data across all systems to support data integrity, billing, and reporting accuracy.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable for assigned location(s).
- Reconcile completed job packets against the Uniform Hazardous Waste Manifest, Bill of Lading (BOL), work orders, and supporting documentation prior to invoicing, verifying that waste quantities, profiles, disposal facilities, pricing, labor, transportation, and disposal charges match the executed work.
- Identify and resolve discrepancies with Operations, Field Personnel, Transportation, and Billing before a job is released for invoicing.
- Support audit readiness by maintaining complete, accurate, and organized documentation across internal systems.
- Assist in preparing customer reports, annual summaries, and Branch Revenue Reporting on a daily basis.
- Perform other reasonable directives, responsibilities, and activities as assigned, which may change at any time with or without notice.
Education & Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED equivalent required AND at least 3 years relevant experience
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Highly responsive
- Detail-oriented, with high attention to accuracy in data and documentation
- Experience using Microsoft Office Suite, spreadsheets, CRM systems, and Waste LINQ
- Ability to manage and interpret operational and pricing data
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Independent problem-solving and decision-making ability
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and effectively utilize available resources
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in administrative, customer service, or operations roles
- Environmental services or hazardous waste experience (e.g., EPA, RCRA, or DOT familiarity)
Work Environment
Continuous sitting and tasks involving repetitive motions using wrists, hands, and fingers for periods of 6 to 8+ hours at a time. Occasional walking or standing. Occasional carrying of weights from 0-25 pounds. Primarily operates in an office environment. May conduct job walks in the field.

The anticipated hourly range for this position is $77,000.00 - $90,000.00 annually and includes benefits such as the following:
