Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Bachelor Group Therapist to join our dynamic behavioral health team. Responsibilities
- Lead engaging group therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and diagnostic evaluations using medical terminology and ICD coding (ICD-9, ICD-10) to develop personalized treatment plans.
- Provide individual counseling and crisis intervention for clients experiencing mental health challenges, including PTSD, grief, addiction issues, or behavioral management needs.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate case management, medical documentation, and patient care strategies aligned with HIPAA regulations.
- Facilitate intake processes for new clients, ensuring thorough documentation of medical records and behavioral health history.
- Implement behavior management techniques and social work principles to support clients with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorders.
- Maintain accurate records of clinical sessions, progress notes, and data collection while adhering to CPT coding standards for billing purposes.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of psychotherapy modalities including cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis (ABA).
- Experience in group therapy facilitation with diverse populations across inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Proficiency in crisis management, crisis intervention strategies, and behavior management techniques.
- Familiarity with ICD coding systems (ICD-9/ICD-10) for diagnostic evaluation and medical documentation.
- Ability to work effectively with children, adolescents, individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder (ASD), Geriatrics populations, or those experiencing gender issues counseling.
- Experience with telehealth platforms and delivering clinical counseling remotely is preferred.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to behavioral health conditions such as PTSD care, chronic pain counseling, addiction counseling, grief counseling, and psychopharmacology.
- Excellent communication skills for intake assessments, patient engagement, and interdisciplinary collaboration.
