The BalletMet Academy is seeking part-time faculty for its children division classes.
Reports to: Academy Director and Children’s Division Coordinator
Job Category: Part time, various hours and days.
Responsibilities:
- Advance student understanding of movement, dance and performance
- Teach student artists using the BalletMet Syllabus
- Communicate with parents and staff as directed by the Academy Director and/or
Academy Manager
- Contribute to the overall success of BalletMet by maintaining a productive and
professional relationship with staff, company members, guest artists, students, Academy families and the public
Qualities and Attributes:
- Great communication skills
- 2-5 years of dance teaching experience with students age 3-8 years old
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to remain flexible and supportive at all times
- Positive attitude
