About the Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-AC) for a 6-month locum tenens assignment within a specialized 24-bed Bronchopulmonary Dysplasia (BPD) / Breathing Dependency Unit at Nationwide Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Ohio.
This is a high-acuity pediatric position within a Level IV NICU environment caring for medically complex patients with significant respiratory needs. The ideal candidate will have recent Level IV NICU experience, although experienced PICU providers may also be considered.
Position Highlights
- 24-bed specialized BPD/Breathing Dependency Unit
- Level IV NICU / highest-acuity neonatal environment
- Significant tracheostomy and ventilator management
- Approximately 10–12 patients per provider
Schedule
- 3 × 12-hour day shifts per week
- 6:00 AM – 6:30 PM
- Full-time locum coverage preferred
Required Qualifications
- Pediatric Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification (CPNP-AC) required / or NNP
- Experience caring for medically complex, critically ill pediatric/neonatal patients
- Strong tracheostomy and mechanical ventilation management experience
- Intubation experience required
- Arterial puncture experience required
Licensing & Credentialing
- Ohio licensure required
- Will consider candidates with RN Compact licensure, subject to applicable Ohio licensing requirements
