Job Description: Tasting Room & Offsite Events Manager

Position Overview
Bohemia Manor Farm Wine is seeking a dynamic, guest-focused Tasting Room & Offsite Events Manager to lead our retail and off-premise operations. This role is the heartbeat of our brand experience, requiring a leader who is comfortable transitioning between our on-site Tank Tasting Room and various off-site event locations. You will be responsible for providing exceptional hospitality, managing daily sales operations, leading wine club initiatives, and representing our brand with professionalism and passion.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Operations Management: Oversee all daily operations of the Tasting Room/Lounge, including opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and maintenance.
- Event Leadership: Execute and manage off-premise events, including wine sales and property tasting tours, ensuring the brand experience remains consistent regardless of the location.
- Guest Experience: Facilitate all "bottles-to-go" and lounge sales; ensure every guest receives a welcoming, informative, and high-quality interaction.
- Wine Knowledge: Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of our wine portfolio; articulate our winemaking philosophy and specific tasting notes to guests with confidence.
- Staff Leadership & Development: Train, mentor, and schedule front-of-house staff. Foster a positive, collaborative, and results-oriented work environment.
- Sales & Logistics: Operate Point of Sale (POS) systems accurately, manage inventory, coordinate promotional displays, and handle Wine Club sign-ups and member services.
- Communication: Maintain active communication with the management team regarding inventory needs, guest feedback, and operational challenges. Keep a precise working calendar and monitor all channels of communication.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Experience: Proven experience in a fast-paced retail, hospitality, or winery environment. Experience with Point of Sale (POS) systems is required.
- Skills: Strong organizational skills with the ability to follow specific operational procedures. Basic math proficiency for inventory and cash handling is essential.
- Attitude: A high degree of professionalism, a positive "can-do" attitude, and a commitment to quality and service.
- Physical Ability:
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to stand and walk on concrete floors for extended periods and maneuver stairs comfortably.
- Ability to move freely around the property and event sites throughout the day.
- Legal: Must be of legal age to serve alcohol.
- Communication: Must be proficient in reading and interpreting work instructions in English.
