Direct Support Professional - JLF/AK
A 24-year-old female in the Kirkville area is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist her with community outings and home-based activities. This role would include activities like hiking, hobbies such as baking sweet treats, and positive interactions with people. The DSP will provide consistent encouragement, ensure safety, and help create meaningful, engaging routines that build confidence and autonomy.
The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and energetic, with a supportive and engaging approach. You should feel comfortable participating in outdoor activities, trying new experiences together, and helping her explore her interests. While experience working with people with disabilities is helpful, it is not required—what matters most is creativity, compassion, and a genuine commitment to empowering others to thrive.
The hours are flexible: 5 hours a week.
The pay rate is $20 an hour.
Location: Kirkville, NY
- Must have a valid drivers license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
