Job Description
Title: Instructional Coordinator
Immediate Supervisor: Appropriate Director
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Master’s Degree from accredited college or university
2. Alabama Certification and highly qualified in teaching area
3. Minimum of 5 years teaching experience
4. Prior experience mentoring and/or facilitating change to improve instructional
programs.
Skills and Abilities:
1. Models effective listening and positive interaction skills.
2. Understands and utilizes collaborative planning strategies.
3. Researches and uses data to make sound district decisions.
4. Effectively uses proper oral and written communication.
5. Conducts workshops and training as needed.
Essential Functions:
1. Reads, speaks, and understands at a professional level.
2. Conducts or participates in workshops, committees, and conferences as needed.
3. Confers with members of educational committees and advisory groups to plan district
initiatives, and provide leadership in their implementation.
4. Prepares or approves manuals, guidelines, and reports on state educational policies
and practices.
5. Assists in planning, organizing, and implementing programs in assigned areas.
