Position Summary
Probata Corporation is seeking an experienced Field Service Technician to perform calibration and metrology services on various types of Measuring and Test Equipment, also known as M&TE. This position will include both in-house and field service work, including out-of-state travel (Potentially up to 50%) . The ideal candidate will have strong calibration experience, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities
- Perform calibration and metrology services on various types of Measuring and Test Equipment.
- Travel to customer locations, including out-of-state travel, to perform field service calibration work.
- Calibrate, adjust, align, and verify measuring instruments and related equipment.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical and electronic components and devices.
- Follow established calibration procedures, quality requirements, and documentation practices.
- Perform calibrations with little or no supervision.
- Assist in the development and revision of metrology and quality-related procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company and accreditation requirements.
- Communicate professionally with customers and internal team members.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of calibration experience preferred.
- Knowledge of measuring instruments and calibration preferred..
- Strong understanding of analytical mathematics.
- Ability to follow written procedures and technical instructions.
- Ability to work independently and manage assigned work efficiently.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Ability and willingness to travel, including out-of-state travel (up to 50% travel).
