Job Summary:
Wellbound Home Care, a leading provider of home-based healthcare services, is seeking experienced Occupational Therapists to join our expanding team in Brooklyn and throughout the boroughs and Long Island, NY. Responsibilities:
- Support clients with fine, gross, and visual motor skills
- Assist with sensory and emotional regulation, cognition, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Provide effective and timely communication with clients and team members
- Educate and train caregivers (e.g., Home Health Aides) to ensure skill carryover
- Complete documentation in a timely and professional manner
- Travel to multiple locations within your assigned region
Requirements:
- A valid New York State OT License (required)
- Proficiency in outpatient therapy techniques and home health practices
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and the ability to effectively treat diverse populations
- Experience working in clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health preferred
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients, families, and healthcare teams
- Ability to develop rapport with patients while demonstrating empathy and patience
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently while ensuring quality care
