Duties
- Greet vistors warmly upon arrival, verify their information, and assist with intake procedures
- Prepare patients for visits by documenting medical histories and current symptoms using electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Manage appointment scheduling, patient check-in/out processes, and maintain accurate patient records in compliance with healthcare regulations
- Support clinical staff with tasks related to anatomy knowledge, physiology understanding, ICD coding, and documentation of diagnoses
- Handle administrative duties such as answering phones, managing patient flow, coordinating referrals, and ensuring confidentiality of sensitive information
Requirements
- Prior experience in medical settings such as hospital medicine, outpatient clinics, or emergency medicine is highly preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, ICD coding, and medication administration procedures
- Familiarity with EHR systems and medical-surgical or internal medicine workflows is essential
- Strong patient service skills with the ability to communicate effectively across diverse populations including geriatrics
- Ability to multitask efficiently in fast-paced outpatient or inpatient settings while maintaining attention to detail
