Duties
- Prepare and set up breakfast buffet stations, ensuring all food items are fresh, appealing, and properly displayed.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the breakfast area, adhering to food safety sanitizing procedures at all times.
- Serve guests efficiently while providing exceptional customer service, addressing special dietary needs and preferences with professionalism.
- Restock food items and condiments regularly to ensure availability throughout service hours.
- Follow food handling protocols diligently, including proper manual handling techniques and weight handling in the workplace to prevent injuries.
- Assist with food preparation tasks such as slicing fruits, assembling breakfast plates, or garnishing dishes to enhance presentation.
- Support catering or banquet functions when required, ensuring timely setup and service for larger groups.
- Operate POS systems accurately for any paid upgrades or additional orders from guests.
- Uphold food safety management standards by sanitizing surfaces and equipment regularly in compliance with health regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to deliver a seamless dining experience that highlights our commitment to hospitality excellence.
Skills
- Proven experience in fine dining or restaurant environments, with a strong foundation in food safety sanitizing procedures and food handling practices.
- Knowledge of culinary techniques related to breakfast foods and buffet presentation.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS systems for efficient order processing and payment handling.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including weight handling in the workplace during food setup or cleanup activities.
- Experience with catering or banquet service is a plus, demonstrating versatility in food service settings.
- Basic wine knowledge can enhance guest interactions during breakfast or brunch services involving beverages.
- Strong understanding of food safety management protocols to maintain hygiene standards at all times.
- Previous hospitality experience, including barista experience or dietary aide background preferred but not required.
