American Traveler is hiring a Pediatric Echo Technologist / Cardiac Sonographer with a minimum of 2 years of experience and substantial hands-on pediatric echocardiography volume for a 13-week travel contract.

Pediatric echocardiography unit within a 268-bed short-term acute care hospital

Level I trauma, academic teaching facility

Performs full pediatric echo protocol including Subxiphoid, Parasternal, Suprasternal, Right Parasternal, and Apical views

Cerner EMR used for charting

4x10 day shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM
-
Weekend coverage required on an as-needed basis

On-call required: call schedule runs 5:30 PM Monday through 7:00 AM Friday

No floating required

Minimum of 2 years of Echo Tech experience required
-
Substantial pediatric echocardiography experience required — equivalent to at least 1 year of full-time pediatric echo averaging 20 echoes/week, or 4–5 years part-time averaging 4–5 echoes/week with full pediatric protocol (approximately 1,000 total pediatric echoes)

Experience with congenital heart abnormalities expected given required case volume

Current BLS, ACLS, and ARRT certifications required

License required if applicable

Cerner experience preferred

Performs comprehensive pediatric echocardiograms following an extensive facility-specific protocol across all standard anatomical views

Preferred skills include EP, Structural Heart, MacLab, and Xper
