The Welding Technician / Fabricator welds (MIG welding) and fabricates metal parts and assemblies used in agricultural equipment, working from drawings, measurements, and fixtures to produce strong, accurate components that support final product assembly.
Shifts Available:
- First Shift (6:00am to 2:30pm Mon-Fri)
- Second Shift (2:30pm to 1:00am Mon-Thurs)
Key Responsibilities:
- Weld and fabricate metal components of varying sizes and thicknesses using approved welding and fabrication equipment (MIG welding)
- Read basic measurements, drawings, and work instructions to complete welds accurately
- Prepare and position materials using jigs, fixtures, and fabrication tools
- Inspect finished welds for quality, fit, and structural integrity
- Maintain welding and fabrication equipment and keep work areas clean and organized
- Follow all safety guidelines, including proper use of PPE, and work collaboratively to meet production needs
Qualifications:
- Completion of at least one year of welding-related schooling or prior experience in an industrial welding or fabrication environment
- Working knowledge of welding processes and ability to weld various material thicknesses and positions
- Ability to read and interpret measurements, basic drawings, and fabrication layouts
- Experience using fabrication tools and equipment such as grinders, saws, jigs, and fixtures
- Ability to work safely in a production environment, including proper use of PPE and adherence to safety guidelines
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Willingness to learn company-specific products, processes, and quality standards
