Job Summary
We are looking for a reliable and safety-focused CDL Truck Driver to join our team. This position involves delivering products throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho. Drivers will make deliveries to both commercial and residential customers and will be responsible for loading and unloading the truck at each stop.
Duties
- Safely operate a commercial truck throughout Washington, Oregon, and Idaho.
- Transport refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and other freight types across local and regional destinations
- Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes, monitor progress, and adapt to traffic or road conditions
- Load and unload cargo safely using manual handling techniques or forklift equipment when necessary
- Comply fully with FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) standards, and hazardous materials regulations when applicable
- Handle logistics cargo with precision, including securement of dangerous goods and hazardous materials according to safety protocols
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, inspections, and deliveries in accordance with regulatory requirements
- Perform routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met and report any issues promptly
Requirements
- Valid CDL license with appropriate endorsements for the type of freight transported (e.g., refrigerated trailer, tanker)
- Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
- Demonstrated ability to operate manual transmission trucks confidently
- Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, DOT rules, hazardous materials regulations, and safety procedures
- Experience with freight handling, load & unload processes, and cargo securing techniques
- Ability to handle manual handling tasks safely and efficiently during loading/unloading operations
- Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for route planning and real-time tracking
- Valid medical certification for commercial drivers as required by law
- Prior experience with forklift operation or dump trucks is a plus but not mandatory
