- Operate commercial dishwashing equipment to thoroughly clean dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen tools in accordance with food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as organizing supplies and prepping ingredients when needed.
- Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen surfaces, floors, sinks, and storage areas to ensure compliance with sanitation standards.
- Handle manual lifting of heavy pots, pans, boxes of supplies, and other kitchen items safely following proper handling techniques.
- Follow all kitchen health and safety standards to prevent accidents and promote a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with culinary staff to ensure timely availability of clean dishes and utensils for food service operations.
Requirements
- Prior experience in a food service or restaurant environment is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety management practices and sanitation procedures is highly desirable.
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as dishwashers, sinks, and basic food prep tools efficiently.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, perform heavy lifting safely, and perform manual handling tasks regularly.
