American Traveler is seeking an experienced Emergency Dept RN for a day shift travel position in Tucson, AZ at a Trauma Level III facility requiring Cerner EMR experience and a minimum of 2 years of ED experience.

Emergency Department setting with 38 beds

Trauma Level III Certified facility; also a Stroke Receiving and STEMI Receiving center

Day shift schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, 3x12s

Cerner EMR experience required

Floating is required

13-week contract

Active AZ RN license or compact RN license currently in hand

BLS required; all certifications must remain active through the first 30 days of the assignment

Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Dept RN experience required

Cerner EMR experience required

Charge nurse experience preferred
-
NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification recommended but not required

Valid driver's license required for consideration
-
No employment gaps of 90 days or more in the past 12 months

Responsible for shift accountability in delivering care to ED patients using the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies

Demonstrates critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in planning and coordinating safe patient care

Delegates patient care responsibilities in alignment with available staff education and experience

Maintains clinical competencies through continuing education

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local travelers will not be considered

Candidates who have worked at any CHS facility as permanent staff within the past 2 years will not be considered
-
RTO requests must be less than one week in duration
