Job Title: Material Handler / Foreman – Night Shift
Report To: Plant Manager
Job Overview: This position is responsible for moving parts and materials from staging areas to the appropriate departments and work centers throughout the night shift, while also serving as the lead Foreman on the floor — overseeing operations, directing the team, and ensuring production goals are met safely and efficiently.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Handling
· Move parts and materials from staging areas to the appropriate departments and work centers throughout the shift
· Ensure the continuous flow of production by transporting completed items from one work center to the next
· Issue components to the appropriate work orders and confirm materials are in the right place before production begins
· Pick up and deliver parts from the inventory crib as needed to support the shop floor
Foreman – Night Shift
· Oversee and direct night shift employees, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time
· Serve as the primary point of contact for night shift operations in the absence of management
· Monitor production workflow and resolve bottlenecks or material shortages as they arise
· Enforce safety policies, PPE compliance, and company procedures across the shift
· Communicate shift status, issues, and completions to day shift leadership and management
· Perform other duties as assigned by supervision
Qualifications: Education: High school diploma or GED required; Vo-Tech/Trade School preferred
Experience: 2–5 years in an industrial or manufacturing environment required; prior supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred
Specific Skills: Forklift operation required (certification preferred); demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage shift-level operations
Certifications:
Physical Abilities: Standing/Bending full shift, lifting up to 50lbs, exposure to loud noises may require hearing protection, exposure to chemicals and fumes may require use of respirator, various sheet metal products may require specific PPE protection, communication with others, some repetitive motion
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
