Job Summary
MUST BE 21 or older. We are looking for a friendly and energetic Cashier/Sales Associate to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the face of our store, providing excellent customer service while efficiently handling sales transactions. Your enthusiasm and product knowledge will help create a welcoming environment for shoppers and ensure they leave satisfied. The ideal candidate is approachable, detail-oriented, and eager to contribute to a vibrant retail atmosphere.
Duties
- Operate the cash register (POS system) accurately during retail sales transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing.
- Provide friendly assistance to customers, answering questions about products and store policies with clear communication skills.
- Conduct product demos when needed, highlighting features and benefits to encourage sales and upselling opportunities.
- Maintain knowledge of store merchandise, stock levels, and merchandising standards to ensure an appealing shopping environment.
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and managing inventory to keep the store neat and inviting.
- Handle cash drawer operations responsibly, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed at all times.
- Support the team by supervising or assisting new team members, especially in cashiering or customer service tasks.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse customers.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and basic math skills for accurate transactions.
- Ability to perform retail math calculations quickly and accurately during sales activities.
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and professional phone etiquette.
- Knowledge of retail store product details and merchandising principles is advantageous.
- Supervising experience is a plus for candidates interested in leadership opportunities within the team.
