Hiring Now: Jimmy John's Baxter St – Day Drivers & Night In-Shoppers
Jimmy John's on Baxter Street in Athens is hiring for two positions. We move fast, we make sandwiches faster, and we want people who show up ready to work.
DELIVERY DRIVER Schedule: Daytime shifts. Weekends required.
- Deliver sandwich orders to customers in a safe, courteous, and timely manner within our established delivery area
- Take phone orders and complete delivery tickets accurately
- Accept payment from customers and make change
- Work with management at the end of the shift to reconcile cash from delivery sales
- Work as an in-shopper (making sandwiches, running register, greeting customers) when no deliveries are scheduled
Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, current auto insurance, and a clean driving record
IN-SHOPPER Schedule: Night shifts. Weekends required.
- Greet customers and provide world-class customer service as they enter and exit the restaurant
- Make fast, accurate, and consistent sandwiches
- Operate the cash register, take orders, and handle payment/change
- Take phone orders and complete delivery tickets
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the restaurant
Both roles require:
- Able to speak, read, and write English fluently and clearly
- Able to bend, stand, and walk the entire workday; may need to lift up to 50 lbs
- Positive, enthusiastic, professional in appearance in compliance with the Jimmy John's Style Guide
- Comply with all portion sizes, recipes, and systems/procedures with 100% accuracy
