*Job Overview*
A growing Residential GC is seeking a Construction Purchasing Manager, responsible for overseeing the procurement process and ensuring the timely acquisition of building supplies & trade services essential for the organization's operations and expected growth.
*Duties*
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to secure advantageous terms
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to optimize purchasing processes
- Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with suppliers to maintain adequate stock levels
- Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions
- Coordinate with various departments (sales, estimating, builders) to understand their procurement needs
- Oversee logistics and supply chain management to streamline operations
- Utilize procurement systems to track purchases, contracts, and supplier performance
*Experience*
- Proven experience in construction vendor management, contract negotiation, and procurement processes
- Strong understanding of supply chain management principles
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in procurement software and systems
- Ability to analyze data and market trends to make informed purchasing decisions
- Previous experience in a residential construction purchasing or buying role is essential
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
