Duties
- Assist in supervising housekeeping staff to ensure efficient cleaning and maintenance of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas
- Oversee cleaning routines, including dusting, vacuuming, laundry, and bed-making, ensuring adherence to quality standards
- Coordinate floor care activities such as carpet cleaning and tile polishing to maintain a polished appearance throughout the property
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring all tools are properly maintained and stocked
- Implement health and safety protocols related to janitorial and industrial cleaning practices to promote a safe working environment
- Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness levels, providing feedback and training to staff as needed
- Support the development of housekeeping schedules and assign tasks to maximize productivity while maintaining high standards of service
Experience
- Proven experience in hotel housekeeping or custodial roles with a strong background in janitorial or industrial cleaning
- Previous supervisory or management experience in housekeeping or hospitality settings is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and safety procedures relevant to hospitality environments
- Familiarity with hotel operations and guest service standards is highly desirable
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to lead a team effectively while maintaining attention to detail
- Experience with custodial management or housekeeper management systems is a plus
